In this blog, I will cover brief, but important facts about this West African country.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalizationpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gpi-translation20for20rwanda-map_450x315.jpg\" alt=\"gpi-translation for rwanda-map\" width=\"450\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Rwandan Demographics<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Kigali is the capital and largest city.<\/li>\n<li>Rwanda&#8217;s population is more than 12 million people (2016).<\/li>\n<li>Life expectancy is 60 years.<\/li>\n<li>Median age is 19 years old.<\/li>\n<li>Unemployment is currently 3.4%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Rwandan Languages<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>The official languages are Kinyarwanda, English and French.<\/li>\n<li>The national language and the first language of almost the entire population is Kinyarwanda.<\/li>\n<li>The immigrant languages are Rundi and Swahili.<\/li>\n<li>In commerce, Swahili is often used.<\/li>\n<li>The literacy rate is about 71%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Rwandan Culture<\/h5>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalizationpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gpi_translation20for20rwanda-flag_424x196.jpg\" alt=\"gpi-translation for rwanda-flag\" width=\"424\" height=\"196\" \/><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The largest religion in the country is Christianity.<\/li>\n<li>49% of Rwandans are Roman Catholic.<\/li>\n<li>Ethnic groups include: Hutu (Bantu) 84%, Tutsi (Hamitic) 15% and Twa (Pygmy) 1%<\/li>\n<li>Rwandan Literature is both oral and written in Kinyarwanda or French.<\/li>\n<li>Rwandans greet someone of higher rank by extending their right hand while putting the left one on the right arm as a sign of respect.<\/li>\n<li>Rwandan food is simple with beans, bananas, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and sorghum being the most common foods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Rwandan Consumers<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalizationpartners.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gpi-translation20for20rwanda-1_425x298.jpg\" alt=\"gpi-translation for rwanda-land\" width=\"425\" height=\"298\" \/>Rwanda has international trade with Uganda and Congo.<\/li>\n<li>The most important sectors in Rwanda&#8217;s economy are agriculture and mining.<\/li>\n<li>The huge attraction for visitors in Rwanda is the spectacular scenery and wildlife.<\/li>\n<li>Most Rwandans are replacing landlines with mobile phones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Rwanda&#8217;s Future<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Coffee is the main export, followed by other agricultural products such as tea.<\/li>\n<li>Natural resources include: gold, cassiterite (tin ore), wolframite (tungsten ore), methane, hydropower and arable land.<\/li>\n<li>Rwanda&#8217;s economy is growing at an average annual rate of 78% over the last eight years.<\/li>\n<li>Recently, Rwanda ranked by world bank (2015) as one of the world&#8217;s fastest growing economies.<\/li>\n<li>The country is working to be on track to meet the health-related <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdgmonitor.org\/mdg-progress-rwanda-africa\/\">Millennium Development Goals<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Rwandan government has plans to make internet available country-wide and to get free wireless spots in the public areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sources:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rwanda\">https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rwanda<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldometers.info\/world-population\/rwanda-population\/\">https:\/\/www.worldometers.info\/world-population\/rwanda-population\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a small, land-locked country with green and mountainous landscape, it&#8217;s known for its spectacular scenery and wildlife.
